Hidden Secrets

 Celine Sky, commander in chief of the kingdom's royal guards. The kingdom wasn't very welcoming to any form of magic. It was strictly illegal. You'd be hung the moment anyone figures out you had magical powers.


But Celine had a little secret.


Celine had magical powers. Celine could read people's minds and use telekinesis, but she hates her magic. She believes magic is a danger to the world. Magic had caused the death of her brother. Her brother's magic was telekinesis as well. Having too much fun playing around, her brother lost control of his abilities and the object he was lifting into the sky fell onto him and knocked him down to a rock which caused his death. Celine, too young to use her powers at a greater strength, couldn't save him. 


Ever since, Celine had hated her own magic and the people who possess magic. But she still used it to her advantage. Using her magic secretly, she worked her way as the commander of the royal guards and made sure to imprison and get rid of every single one who possessed or used magic.


That was until she met Isaac Walkers. Isaac was a mischievous one and usually pickpockets people in the markets. When caught by a guard, he hides off and uses his cloaking abilities to go invisible and escape.


That is until one day, he runs into the commander using her telekinesis in a private garden in the kingdom. Celine couldn't see Isaac, but the robber lost focus due to his shock and Celine spotted him. The male smirked, raising a brow that indicated he knew something.


Panicked, Celine tried to hide it away but Isaac moved to her and touched her shoulder. He knew that if she really didn't have powers, he wouldn't feel anything channeling into his body—but something did.


He could feel her powers.


The two stayed silent, until they both noticed the king had seen them. With Isaac quickly cloaking himself and Celine, they ran off into the quieter and emptier parts of the kingdom to hide (A beautiful yet hidden forest where all other magical citizens hide in) . In a matter of hours, bounties were placed on both of their heads.


Now it's up to Celine if she's willing to help Isaac change the kingdom rules forever or if she was going to betray him for her own privilege.
